Lost Mountain Baptist Church: Executive/Worship Pastor

To work with the senior pastor in executing the vision and ministry of the church by directly overseeing the systems and
processes necessary for helping people connect, grow, and serve. To build, maintain, and lead an effective and highquality
worship ministry for a multigeneration church in the growing, multiethnic, NW Atlanta Metro Area.

(1) Maintain and consistently improve a highly effective Assimilation System
• Oversee the countdown process, execution, and evaluation of Big Days, Newcomer’s Receptions, Membership
Classes, and Baptism Celebrations
• Ensure all data from Sunday is correctly entered into our ChMS
• Prepare the ministry weekly reports (attendance, giving, next steps, etc.) for the senior pastor
• Assign and track all staff follow-up from Connection Cards
(2) Maintain and improve a highly effective Ministry System
• Ensure every single person who marks an interest in volunteering is followed up with that week
§ Monitor the process with the specific ministry leader (using our Leading Ministry Volunteers system)
§ Keep a running list of who is serving weekly, where, and what % of our overall attendance is serving
• Create signage, verbiage, and a “presence” for the Volunteer/Ministry System at LMBC
• Train and oversee the First Impressions/Welcome Team
(3) Provide leadership and staff oversight for the Small Group & Sunday School ministry of LMBC
• Assist with recruitment and retention
• Provide clarity, training, and metrics for evaluating health and effectiveness
(4) Provide leadership and staff oversight for custodial/maintenance staff, building and grounds, and budget/finances
• Work closely with the senior pastor, financial manager, treasurer, and finance team leader to maintain effective,
efficient, Christ-honoring, and mission-driven budget(s) and financial systems
• Ensure the church facility and property are well-maintained and updated as needed, working with the Building
and Grounds Team when necessary
• Directly supervise the maintenance/custodial staff, assigning weekly and ongoing tasks
(5) Build and maintain a Christ-centered and high-quality worship arts ministry
• Recruit, develop, encourage, and care for those serving as:
§ Instrumentalists and vocalists
§ Audio, computer, and video techs
• Lead weekly or biweekly rehearsals
• Prepare set-lists that reflect a balance of modern worship music and classic hymns
• Ensure the preparation for weekly worship materials (programs, connection cards, giving envelopes, etc.)

• Be early to all meetings, rehearsals, Sunday services, and anything else that is on your schedule
• Complete tasks assigned to you by the deadlines given
• Display a happy, worshipful, “whatever it takes” attitude
• Demonstrate passion, humility, and a teachable spirit
• Manage your finances, fitness, family, and personal spiritual formation in a God-honoring way
• Fully engage in monthly coaching opportunities and growth
• Email your Weekly To-Do List to the senior pastor when required
• Add relational, spiritual, and leadership value to all the teams/ministries where you participate
• Guard the unity of the staff, leadership, and church as a whole at all times

License/Certifications: Ordination
Education: Bachelor Degree (master’s degree from an accredited seminary preferred); must be vocally and
instrumentally proficient; must be able to process information quickly and make sound leadership decisions
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full-time pastoral staff experience
Data Utilization: Basic computer proficiency
Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
Environmental Factors: General office environment; auditorium setting, occasional outdoor setting
