NEXT GENERATION AND FAMILY PASTOR

Position Summary 

Create an age appropriate ministry to engage the next generation of children and students in building a lifetime of faith-filled ministry and inspiring the church to invest in their future through intergenerational relationships.

Responsibilities 

Champion the vision of children and student ministry throughout the church
Produce strategic experiences to be relevant and engaging to children and students to serve in ministry
Design strategic opportunities to help every parent stay connected and engaged as ministry partners
Develop fellowship opportunities and resources for parents of children and students
Evaluate, determine and implement strategies for ministry, discipleship and growth for children, students, parents and teachers
Be actively involved in the local school systems, social groups, etc. in order to connect with children and students to develop relationships outside of Sunday regular worship services
Partner with all church leaders and church organizations in developing intergenerational relationships within the church family
Support the ministry of Sandy Plains Baptist Church by implementing the overall church vision in age appropriate manner
Build and equip a volunteer organization to serve effectively in next generation ministry

Accountability

Reports to the Senior Pastor and is accountable to the leadership team as stated in the SPBC By- Laws
Manage budget and resources needed to make the children and student ministries successful
Define what success looks like, in a measurable manner and continue to evaluate ministry for effectiveness

Qualifications

Master Degree from SBC Seminary
Adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message
2-3 years experience working in next generation ministry areas
Able to clearly communicate and articulate the Gospel and plan of Salvation
