Helping One Guy–April 13

Helping One Guy, a nonprofit that honors a man and his family in a time of life-changing crisis, will be honoring David Burrell and family on Wednesday, April 13, at 6:30pm at NorthStar Church in Kennesaw. The event will include a free dinner and opportunity to donate. David’s daughter Rachel is fighting cancer; you can read their story here, where you can also register for the dinner and donate to the honoree.

Loss of a Spouse Seminar–April 20

If you are grieving the loss of your husband or wife, the pain is likely incomparable to anything you’ve ever experienced. We understand. That’s why GriefShare offers this special session just or you. Speaking directly to the hearts of widows and widowers, “Loss of a Spouse” is an evening of empathy, encouragement, and hope. We invite you to join us via Zoom on Wednesday, April 20, at 7:00pm. Cultivate–April 21-22

West Ridge Church in Dallas presents Cultivate, a retreat for pastors’ wives and ladies in ministry April 21-22. The theme this year is “Cultivate Freedom” and guest speakers include Sandra Stanley and Chanda Bell.

Michael W. Smith–A Night at the Piano–April 29

Piedmont Church invites you to a night at the piano with Michael W. Smith Friday, April 29, at 7:00pm in the Worship Center. Tickets are now on sale.

FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember–April 29-May 1

FamilyLife presents a Weekend to Remember, a marriage retreat, on April 29-May 1 at the Crowne Plaza Perimeter at Rivinia in Atlanta. (Other dates/locations are also available.) Pastors and their wives can attend for free.

Disciple Making Workshop–May 1-3

Three Taverns Church (3575 Acworth Due West Rd., Marietta) will hold a Disciple Making Workshop May 1-3 on their campus based on Pastor Doug Burrier’s years of research and real-life experience with the church, producing a 90% success rate. Workshop begins with dinner Sunday at 5:30pm and concludes at 4:00pm Tuesday. Find out more and register here.

Hurt Road Spring Golf Tournament–May 2

Hurt Road Baptist Church in Smyrna will have their Spring Golf Tournament Monday, May 2, at Dogwood Golf Club in Austell with registration beginning at 7:30am and a shotgun start at 9:00am. Cost is $70.00 per person and includes lunch and two mulligans. Team mulligans are available to purchase for $5.00 (max 4). Play will be 4 person best ball. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place teams, longest drive, and closest to pin. Sponsored by BIC. GriefShare Group–May 11-August 3

Losing someone you dearly love is among life’s most painful experiences. In fact, getting through the ensuing grief can be too difficult to handle alone. That’s why we offer GriefShare, a 13-week program designed to provide caring support and hope for anyone grieving such a loss. At Summit Baptist Church our online format begins a new season on Wednesday evening, May 11, at 7:00pm, and ends August 3. Mental Health Summit–May 21

With the rise of mental health issues and the increase of uncertainty in our culture, Grace Church Town Center (3005 Ring Rd., Kennesaw) wants to be a resource for you and your community. They are hosting a one-day introduction to terms and tools from local professionals on Saturday, May 21, 9:00am-1:00pm. Cost is $12.00 per person and includes breakfast and lunch. Register here.

Small Group Leader Discipleship Training–June 3-4

Mercy Hill Church (287 Mt. Calvary Rd., Marietta) and Cru Church Movements are partnering to train small group leaders in Cru’s discipleship pathway called Sent 6:7. The training begins Friday, June 3, at 7:00pm and concludes at 4:00 pm Saturday, June 4. Sent 6:7 is a discipleship pathway designed to give people what they need to multiply Christians and churches. Launch is a training for those who want to make disciples, but need a transferable system to follow. Register here.

Builders For Christ Mission Trip to La Monte, MO–June 5-11

Noonday Builders for Christ and Burnt Hickory Baptist Church (BHBC) are sponsoring a construction mission to Show-Me Christian Youth Home located in La Monte, MO, in June 2022. The appropriate cost for the trip is $100 per participant, including food, onsite lodging, BHBC bus transportation, and trip insurance. Find out more here.
