‘I lift my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” – Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)
The month of February is going to be a very exciting time at Storehouse. We will have our FROM HANDS TO HEART FOOD DONATION DRIVE. The focus of this food drive is our critical needs food items: peanut butter, canned meat, canned fruit, canned vienna sausage, fruit cups, manual can openers, and more. Of course, all donations are welcome!
In the month of December, Storehouse assisted 416 households, 1,168 individuals, and 634 children. 483 boxes were given, and 28,326 pounds of food were given to our neighbors in need.
GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL! However, we are witnessing HIS faithfulness even more now. Bagel Rescue, managed by Erin Stieglitz, is one of our latest food donors. Erin contacted me, and I am thrilled to share we are now getting large donations of delicious bagels which will be given to our neighbors in need. Thank you, Erin, for contacting me and helping Storehouse.
Tonya Bradley, Zion Baptist Church member and COSTCO Donations Supervisor, Dallas, GA, volunteered and packed boxes with an outstanding group from Zion in January. She arranged for Storehouse to receive 2 refrigerators/freezers FREE and weekly food donations on Saturdays and Sundays from COSTCO. Thank you, Tonya and COSTCO!
Kennesaw First Baptist Church and Storehouse are partnering to assist a local school with an in-house food pantry. This “pilot” ministry program is one we can easily see move forward and upward throughout Cobb County—Noonday connecting churches with schools to provide food and toiletries. If your church is interested in participating in this ministry, please contact me. We have a few food pantry churches that provide food during the summer for children. However, this ministry is a vital need throughout the school year also. <
On a personal note, I cannot begin to express my sincerest gratitude for our Storehouse Volunteers/Missionaries. They give above and beyond each time they walk through the door. We have nine (9) new volunteers who pack boxes, answer the telephone, help with data entry, pack lunches, and stock shelves. Even though our ministry is very serious, Storehouse is a fun place to serve. Holy hilarity, singing, and lots of praying take place. We truly exhibit the LOVE of CHRIST JESUS. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer for a few minutes, a few hours, or just whenever your schedule permits, please call me. I promise you will be blessed in powerful ways!
On behalf of Storehouse, I want to express my gratitude to our food pantry churches. Because of your faithfulness, we can continue to share the food God has given to us to our neighbors in need. You are literally giving THE BREAD OF LIFE TO THESE DEAR FAMILIES.
GOD HAS GREAT THINGS PLANNED FOR STOREHOUSE IN 2024. I am eternally grateful I serve and journey with such a supportive and loving Noonday team. They are immensely gifted and are always willing to help. It is very refreshing to experience this amount of Christ’s love.
Eternally grateful,
Susan Roundtree, Storehouse Manager
