We have two trips we are planning and one is coming up quickly. I want to invite you to an informational meeting on Thursday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Noonday Baptist Association offices to hear more about these great projects and how you can get involved.
- First up is a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, April 6-10 (spring break week) to renovate and expand temporary housing for victims of human trafficking. Grow Free Tennessee, part of the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking, provides human trafficking victims with comprehensive aftercare. In this 18-month program, survivors can find safety, learn life skills, and receive comprehensive services all in one place. They are seeking to expand from four beds to 12 through this project. This trip will require a meal team as well.
- The second trip is to Rocksprings, Texas, June 15-19 to Camp Eagle, a Christian outdoor adventure camp. They are seeking to turn an assembly building into a bunkhouse with bathrooms and showers. If time permits and we have enough crew, they have two additional projects we can do as well: a 300-foot cedar post fence to be put up and also two tiny home screen shelter cabins to be built. Lodging and meals will be provided on this trip.
If you have questions, please direct to Michael Goulding at [email protected]. See you March 12 with more info!
