The “Hands to Heart” February Food Drive was a huge success! We received donations from many of our Noonday churches, including Burnt Hickory, Lost Mountain, New Salem, Piedmont, and Roswell Street. Piedmont had a “Souper Bowl” emphasis and collected cans of soup for us. A truckload of canned soup was delivered and deeply appreciated.
Image Church is a new food pantry partner, and we are excited to serve Christ with them. Becoming a food pantry partner is an easy process, and we welcome Noonday churches to participate. Our excellent team of volunteers serve diligently to help our food pantry churches receive the items they need.
A dear neighbor in need recently called and said, “I have never had to ask for food assistance or any assistance in the past. I am very embarrassed, but I have not eaten in days so that my boys could eat.” Storehouse’s response: “Oh dear friend, we are here for you. We can provide food for you today!” He was overwhelmed with gratitude. This gentleman received a box of food along with many words of hope. He later called and thanked us profusely saying, “This box of food is beautiful! I am so thankful for what you did for me.” This conversation is just one of many we hear on a regular basis. Our dear neighbors in need do not just receive a box of food. They receive the message of hope and the love of Christ Jesus!
Thank you, church pantries, donors, and volunteers, for your faithful service. Because of you, Storehouse is the hands of Christ to the hearts of our neighbors in need. Christ bless you!
