Young Leaders Tour–February 3
This event is for all staff positions age 18-40 and is sponsored by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. The Tour stops at First Baptist Church Woodstock Thursday, February 3, 8:30am-11:00am.
The purpose of these roundtables is to help younger leaders start and serve well. These events will include practical discussions with Dr. Michael Catt, a man who has finished faithfully and who would like to pass on his experiences to the upcoming generation of leaders.
Johnny Hunt Men’s Conference–February 4-5
This year’s theme is “Hunted” and individual, group, and simulcast tickets are on sale. Takes place 4:30pm-9:35pm (doors open 4:00pm) on Friday, February 4, and 7:30am-12:00pm on Saturday, February 5, at First Baptist Church Woodstock.
GriefShare–begins February 6
Summit Baptist Church in Acworth is offering GriefShare Sundays, February 5-May 15 (not meeting on Easter or Mother’s Day), at 3:00pm-5:00pm. An online version will also be offered on Wednesdays beginning January 12 at 7:00pm.
GriefShare is a Bible-based program designed for persons that have experienced the death of a family member or friend. Participants will be around others that understand their feelings. For more information, please call 770-975-4595.
The Chill Zone–February 12
Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs invited children in kindergarten through 5th grade to The Chill Zone, a winter day camp filled with praise & worship led by Jeff Slaughter, Bible study, games, recreation, crafts, and mission projects. It takes place Saturday, February 12, 10:00am-4:00pm. Registration includes a Chick-fil-A sandwich lunch, snacks, and activities. Churches can sign up their church’s children’s ministries here. MOVE Conference–March 2-3
The MOVE Missions Conference takes place March 2-3 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church (955 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta) with in-person and online registration options. MOVE Conference is designed for anyone who is passionate about sharing the gospel locally, nationally and internationally. Pastors, church staff, students and any leader who desires to learn, grow and develop in the area of missions will benefit from MOVE.
Georgia Baptist Evangelism Conference–March 13-14
The Georgia Baptist Mission Board will present their 2022 Evangelism Conference March 13-14 at First Baptist Church Cumming (also February 27-28 in Macon and March 6-7 in Tifton). The theme is “Until All Hear.”
Cultivate–April 21-22
West Ridge Church in Dallas presents Cultivate, a retreat for pastors’ wives and ladies in ministry April 21-22. The theme this year is “Cultivate Freedom” and guest speakers include Sandra Stanley and Chanda Bell.
FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember–April 29-May 1
FamilyLife presents a Weekend to Remember, a marriage retreat, on April 29-May 1 at the Crowne Plaza Perimeter at Rivinia in Atlanta. (Other dates/locations are also available.) Pastors and their wives can attend for free.
